Back 2 School!!

Hey EVERYONE!!

Here are some fun pictures I took while visiting Farrington High School. I had the chance to talk with the students of the P.E.P (Peer Education Program). WOW!! Hanging out with the students really made me miss going to class! Can you believe it?! In class, we learned about the ABC's of life where every letter of the alphabet stands for a principle we should live by. For example; A- Achieve your goals, B- Believe; and C- Care!! Hope you enjoy:) Until next time...

A special, heartfelt , mahalo to Candes Gentry (Miss Hawaii 1999) and Billie Leuder (Miss Hawaii 2000) for hosting this loving event. In attendence where Malika Dudley (Miss Hawaii 2005), Nicole Fox (Miss Hawaii 2008), Billie Leuder (Miss Hawaii 2000), Jennifer Hera Pimentel (Miss Hawaii 1998), Lani Stone (Miss Hawaii 1991), Keone Cook Anderson (Miss Hawaii 1980), Erika Kauffman (Miss Hawaii 1997), Candes Gentry (Miss Hawaii 1999), and Raeceen Woolford (Miss Hawaii 2009)~ WOW! Thank you Miss Hawaii and Local representatives for your Support of Kapiolani's CMN...

It's rare that I utilize this blog for a post but our organization's Executive Board and I was compelled by our deep appreciation to send a grateful "Mahalo" to our Miss Hawaii, Raeceen Woolford and the handful of local representatives that so graciously gave of their time and resources in support of our Kapiolani Hospital's CMN Radio-thon. Your kind and generous consideration helped to make this campaign a success and strengthen the partnership between our organization and CMN. Thank you for representing our Miss Hawaii Organization and THANK YOU for supporting the keiki of Hawaii through your efforts for Kapiolani Hospital's Children's Miracle Network.

Mahalo nui...

What's new in my life~!!

Aloha All!

It's been a crazy few weeks! I had the opportunity to travel to some very special events here on Oahu and on the Big Island. I recently returned from the Big Island where I danced hula at the Queen Liliuokalani Paddling Race, an event that attracts hundreds of paddlers every year! I also hung out at the UpCountry Fair in Kealakekua. Last week, I got to cruise with my friends from Moanalua Middle School where they celebrated their Extreme Reading Kickoff! I read an excerpt from one of my favorite books, "Like Water for Chocolate". I hope I didn't make any of them fall asleep!! ;) Recently, I participated in the "I Love Liliha" event, sponsored by Representative Corinne Ching. It showcased some of the best Liliha has to offer from food to business vendors. GO LILIHA!!
Many of these pictures are from the Children's Miracle Network's Kapiolani Medical Center Radio-a-thon. That's a mouthful! I was blessed to be accompanied by titleholders from around the island as we answered phones and took pledges for the radio-a-thon. We are proud to say that we participated in an event that raised over $100,000 for Kapiolani Medical Center. Better yet, all the funds stay right here in Hawaii, ensuring our island keiki receive quality health care!!
The next few weeks are going to be equally as crazy, but equally as unforgettable and fun! Below are some events I'll be a part of in the near future. Hey! If you're in the area, stop on by~ no shame!!
